VETERANS TREATMENT COURT

This Court may be funded in part under a grant from the State of Tennessee, Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse and/or grants from other funding agencies.

Our Mission Statement

The Hamilton County Veterans Treatment Court will serve those who willingly sacrificed for our country & find themselves involved in the criminal justice system by providing needed treatment & services under judicial supervision in order to restore the veteran to their honored status within our community.

TRACK 1- ELIGIBILITY GENERAL SESSIONS COURT:

• Candidate must voluntarily agree to enter the Veterans Treatment Court.

• Candidate must sign and execute all the necessary documents including medical release information.

• Candidate must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.

• Candidate must be a veteran or active duty military.

• Candidate must have been Honorably Discharged (Need DD-214).

• Candidate must reside in the 11th Judicial District.

• Candidate must not have violent criminal charges and/or convictions. Must not be on the sex offense registry, no gang members, and no child related criminal charges and/or convictions.

• Candidate must have all legal matters in other courts and/or other jurisdictions resolved.

• Candidate must score as moderate risk to high risk on the assessment criteria.

• Candidate must voluntarily agree to enter the Veterans Treatment Court.
